In this episode, On Assignment brings you a conversation with New York Magazine's Gabriel Sherman, who literally wrote the book on the Roger Ailes/Fox News story (The Loudest Voice in the Room) and has led the pack on the reporting since.

In this episode of On Assignment, we feature a conversation between Columbia Journalism School Professor Bill Grueskin and New York Magazine's Gabriel Sherman from September 2016. They spoke about Sherman's latest cover story on Roger Ailes and Fox News. The room was full of interested journalists and journalists-in-training, just as we learned the news that Fox News has settled anchor Gretchen Carlson's lawsuit for 20 million dollars.

We then spoke to Grueskin in our On Assignment studios to hear what impressed him most about Sherman's exhaustive work. Read more about Sherman in this feature done by The New York Times.
